Well
I am sorry to say this but I am once again completely horrified by how little most "caring" mothers and fathers seem to care when it comes to the men and women who deal with infertility struggles. One of those men or women could be your own son or daughter. Do you want your kids eyeing the edge of a cliff because they feel they can't have kids like you / do what you did?

And a cat will not follow you home. But a cat will follow him home. And the cat will be pleasant company. But you will go to sleep, and wake up to look for the cat, and find the cat disappeared. At peak morning coldness. On the first day of winter. It is life's mystery.
Today

Was woken up by milder womb pain. It's gone but it's not better. There's a famed womb/ hysteria connection but it seems like my uterus might tell me to leave a situation if it's too unhealthy or if it feels too spirit crushing for some reason. The past had a ridiculous amount of disrespectful control of women and their bodies and sadly it feels like this is being repeated.
I have a positive feeling.
Things will get better. Love will superseed all. O internal optimist. Let me let you win.

so weird
When I was a little kid, I was in upstate NY in a museum and I did something where I got noticed and then hid from a woman smiling at me...whether I was just standing there admiring something, or dancing and then got embarrassed, all of a sudden I got noticed and this woman kept smiling at me as if I should get back out in front of her and do whatever I was doing, but I kept back in some corner and didn't go back out there...I am not even sure anymore...what was I doing? I don't know.
Oh well
I'll just be finishing off some wine, sorting through files, listening to an album about DEATH and petting a cat.
A cat is feasting
A cat followed my boyfriend into our apartment. The cat senses kindness on his part. The cat tolerates me and eats food. What a fine cat.
mundane yet crushing
I decided I had to "get organized" (file or throw away) old papers I hadn't gotten to. I needed an image. This is what I picked. It was like a depiction of Athena with an owl and a dress of leaves.

How I feel
I need to work harder on completing creative endeavors with women.
Here's a funny thing. Well, not ha ha funny. But I know there are some very talented guys who would be a lot of fun to work with, but it feels like they are not as open to me. Like, they don't have a frame of reference, or something, to the way I see things. Example: what if I act hesitant I.E. not how a certain type of man wants me to behave. He sees "grown woman acting childish" and leaves it at that. Unless you completely shove it in his face, he's not going to bother to consider the complexity, because he hasn't been brought up to do that. For example, he probably hasn't been asked to think about rape culture (a term which only recently came into existence) and trauma. Then when he looks at it, it is likely that he sees baggage, a nuisance, instead of an opportunity for him to learn and grow as a person. That's too bad. Its better sometimes not to get exactly what you want and expect. The women are not put on earth to be your mindreader manic pixie dreamgirl cocktail waitresses.
That was great
Temptations cat treats ad. I'm buying some for the stray cats that drink out of the swimming pool in my complex. Also, Mercedes cats.
A cloud
I am not sure how much longer I care to deal with this cloud of other people's lives, especially E.T./L.B. Sometimes it's hovering in the background quietly and sometimes it hijacks my other pursuits/intellectual activities. And I need to start doing instructor-led yoga and meditation.

Literally wonder
If some people should just run around in an exuberant state of destruction until they are bored senseless.
Storical lies
Like if E.T. energy came back except this time E. decided to be younger than T. and not mild and personalities got stomped on with boots will no one will be left by the time its over whether on purpose or by accident but it was like senseless destruction, madness almost. That's ridiculous. Again. Utter betrayal from a mere flicking of pencil shavings.
body laundry
I feel like winter in this part of the world is nice because it's easier to go for a hike, but then you have to change out of your clothes because sweat makes you feel really cold, which means there's more laundry. Also, for the aforementioned reasons in addition to other things, it would really suck to be homeless at this time of year, but this is cool!

Hail blessed mother mary
I will survive.
Uterus of absolutely astounding quality.
I am not going to die. I have the castor oil pack. It's not death. It's just O My Goddess. Those lyrics were about Him and I thought Magnificat for Girls would be about Maria. "You are not a man in this life. No kidding." God I love Edgar Cayce though. (Yay, I am better!!!!!) It is weird. During pain is like "this is your not at all gentle reminder that you never have to have kids from your body" and after its like "well that was survivable!"
Et Exultavit Tambien
"Et Exultavit" ~ Voorhees Choir, Rutgers U. Choir
From Old Notes:
"et exultavit spiritus meus in Deo saluta
and has rejoiced my spirit in God savior
quia respexit humilitatem ancillae suae humilitatem
because he has considered lowliness of servant his lowliness
ecce enim ex hoc beatam me dicent omnes generatio

mihi magna qui potens est et sanctum nomen ejus
to me great things who mighty is and holy name his"
"Et Exultavit" ~ Marymount Singers of New York
And really...
I am motherfucking in love with the idea of some as-yet-to-be-made film about a 16th c. Italian composer "whose most famous singing student was the castrato Farinelli" writing music about Mary to be sung by an orphanage full of "orphaned, abandoned and illegitimate" girls.

Music memory: for the holidays, training to sing a difficult piece, and the choir director was so, so happy we pulled it off. Right now I especially remember "Sicut erat."
University of Kentucky's choir: "Sicut erat" by Porpora
From Magnificat (not the one by Bach!)
"Porpora, who collaborated with J.S. Bach’s youngest son, Johann Christian Bach in England, wrote his 'Magnificat' for the famous all-girl choirs of the Venice “ospedali” — charitable orphanage-conservatories that provided musical training for orphaned, abandoned and illegitimate children of the city. The four ospedalis in Venice attracted many of Europe’s greatest composers of the time."

This is what I know
I had great heapings of spirituality pressed upon me as a child. Some I resisted, and some I embraced. But as an older child, I was sure I'd be a more spiritually aware adult. Yet it was so easy to get away from incorporating any kind of deep awareness into my ways of being. I am often around people who are indifferent to spirituality. I was walking around a grocery store the other day thinking, why is it so easy to be blasé, and so difficult to really live my life in a more spiritual manner? Things I've been exposed to, various practices (Christianity, Buddhism, Goddess, Yoga Principles, all of it) could help me. It's like I always want it but I don't actively pursue it enough. This has created some holes in my life. And even those holes (my gosh, this is the second time I mistyped it as "holds" and changed it back. Well I mentioned it at least.) I haven't embraced those enough lately. I can do better.

Peripheries
When I lived alone in upstate NY, it was summertime and for a while I was keeping odd hours, not working, barely ever talking to anyone else, letting all the days blur into one another. I lived in an older apartment above a health food store, next to a bar. To enter my place I would go through a door that said "Celeste" and walk upstairs. Sometimes when I was in my apartment, I felt if there was a playful presence around me. I used to lie in bed and watch the wind lifting the ceiling panels. At first it shocked me, because this had never happened before in any of my other apartments. But then, I was almost in a state of delight, as if I really believed a trickster type of person was playing a game by crawling on the roof, lifting up the ceiling panels, even though it was just the wind.
At some point, I'd get an image of a kid who was just a human being, sitting on some steps staring at a pair of worn out sneakers, not quite knowing what he was doing. But I really felt like this presence was around me for a while. At night, it even sounded like he was blowing on a flute or some kind of pipes outside the window (another game.) When I spoke to some neighbors about the sounds, they said it just the smoke detector in the hallway because it had run out of batteries. I experienced a blurring of what was reality and what was "my imagination," but the "imagination" seemed close to being a part of the reality.
When my mother visited in the winter, she told me she thought maybe I lived in "a spot," that is to say, she thought the region in general could be a place where it is easier for some people to tap into alternate realities or paranormal types of things (if they believe in those things.) I remember us laughing, pushing a mattress up the stairs at the back of the building when I moved into that apartment. Maybe there was lettering on another old building back there because it also seemed like there had been a store which had closed up but had once sold toys or things for parties.

Apples...
The store had "Stayman" apples which I haven't seen since I left upstate NY.
I think it is entirely possible to surround my upstate NY experience with good feelings and good memories and creativity. I have overall that feeling. Afterall, that's the state of my childhood. However, there has to be a conscious choice to focus on the positive. It's not about denying the negative stuff. It's more like, if you place positive stuff alongside negative stuff, the positive can outweigh the rest and then people can begin to respect each other and be about being artists and friends and not victims of each others less than respectful choices and behaviors.

Another walking technique
Like, maybe if I go to the park and pick out just one certain peacock and fixate and project all my issues on that one peacock and follow it for days and weeks it will make me write a poem for which I will get paid. However in order to do that I think I would have to band it and the park employees don't take kindly to people touching the birds. So, maybe not? Oh well.
Body stuff
I feel like maybe when I get certain kinds of pain signals I also get some kind of resistance and a "don't just dole out passive empty forgiveness" message. But, things are cyclical. So I think I will have some other things to do and think about and today will include some walking.

Another look backward
"It was hard to be such a frustrated artist. It's gonna sound weird, but for some reason it compelled me to actually disrespect people. Honestly what is it about wounded masculinity that wants to treat women like shit and blame them for things? Wow, that was probably really unnecessary."
Pain being efficient again
Prior to it waking me up:
dreamed I was interviewing a young woman who lived on an island with her ominous pastor father and they acted like mother had disappeared. Mother was actually in a bed being covered by white blankets and dark wig cuttings around her face. She would moan and gnash her teeth. She interrupted by muttering "bear, bear" and suddenly leaned forward, grabbed a stuffed white bear (a toy) and threw it across the room.

I have heard that you have suffered from BD. I have been dx'd with PCOS and sometimes I wish I could have the kind of BD where on the outside, everyone still thinks I'm a model. However, mine is a different kind of BD.
I have the kind of BD where the skinny pharmacist laughs nervously and annoyingly as she hands over the Metformin prescription, the allopathic doctor cares way less about my painful cramps than she does about me losing weight, and I read ohpluckthis.
Parents and children have different genetics. I say this, because, except for height, I think you actually do have things in common with my mother. For one, she has an independent spirit. But sometimes, I wonder if my mom suffered from BD. Even though she was always a practically hairless, youthful looking redhead. And, I think she has no idea what it's like to have PCOS.
Nevertheless, she has always tried to be supportive, relatively.

In general, if you expect the "successful" men of the world to know what it is you should do to solve your problems, you will probably be very disappointed. There may be exceptions. Accept these! But they still seem to be exceptions and not the rule. Also, I have to ask. Why is there still this whole thing about the successful but incredibly self-absorbed male vs. giving and selfless female dichotomy. Oh my GOD. WHY. WHY. WHY. WHY. Why? systematic attempts to wipe out the heritage of 5,000 years of
civilization. Shen Yun’s mission is to revive traditional Chinese
culture. 'Why does Chinese culture need to be revived?' In this section,
we begin to answer this, hoping that someday soon we will return to
perform in China, and the question will no longer be asked."

On the other hand...
"SHENZHEN, China— Li Jiang’s journey from village rice fields to a
concrete dorm room of snoring men has played out millions of times as
migrant workers have reached for a piece of the China dream.
That dream evaporated in October for Mr. Li. After a decade in this coastal city, he returned to Fuchang Electronic Technology Co. from a weeklong holiday to find the maker of cellphone bodies and set-top boxes had stopped production, leaving him and five family members jobless. In notices on the factory gate, Fuchang blamed a credit squeeze and its own bad management."

Or, try melding
"I don't have time to care about workers who are getting sick/dying while making my cell phone which I use ALL THE TIME to check internet and my texts from my wife/lover and everyone because I never learned to affix my own oxygen mask we're all in love with Diane and we're doing it in Texas."

Switcheroo
Instead of the "lesbian wife cheating" subplot..
Average American not caring that workers are dying to make their phones subplot.
How would that work?

Rev up the evening...
With a feminist critique of TV, why not.
"Writers think they have given us stereotype- busting female characters, but actually they wrote a male part and cast a female for the role."
"I looked at my husband and said: 'That character feels like they wrote a man, and then just changed the name at the last minute.' And indeed, it turns out that in the graphic novels on which this show is based, Hogarth is a man."
"I have no problem believing that a rich older lesbian can be cruel to her wife of many years and interested in a younger woman largely as arm candy. What I don't believe is that that said lesbian can do this while being completely unaware of what it feels like to be the older woman losing her youthful looks as menopause rears its head, or the 23-year-old woman being courted. Yet that's how the Hogarth character is written."

As I love music...
I've spent the evening listening to "Carrie & Lowell."
He says: I like that Fourth of July song. I say: I like the whole album!
But tonight for some reason I especially liked these three...
Should Have Known Better

Seriously
I've been doing laundry and someone left a little plastic camouflage green soldier toy in the washer.
