Yes to the part of the universe

that said, why not check out Olive Kitteridge

Tinsily distracting

"There was once a woman who made terrible excuses for her significant other's behavior because..."

On the agenda for the evening

 Two Broke Girls + Parasite

Although it might just be the movie if the show isn't easy to access.

It was a pretty scene

The officiant self-consciously said it was "just the elopement ceremony" but I am sure it looked good enough to be the real one!

I think they should change their name now.

I think the prices at the 99 cent store have gotten rather high.

See, she does know stuff

Like a garden?

The universe was like "sometimes you have a way of tapping into that martyrdom for a cause energy" and the universe was also like "but this time I'd rather steer it towards another direction, like creating a garden."

she wished to amuse herself

a well of circumstances

then there's that energy

"Well i just wish those guys would have paid attention to me" pierced through the fog, well why not pretend they're an environmental cause and go forward with that and then maybe this unnecessary drag won't have to continue.

But that's not going to happen

So maybe time would be better spent pursuing spiritual topics.

I wish x would come back

and do his creative complaining thing so I could just sit there and listen and feel good about the education I was getting

"bystander effect" & "environmental topic of choice"

so much creative complaining potential with those two

who else did it

Favorite teachers.

They complained sometimes!

And somehow, it was admirable and appropriate when it was their turn to do it.

"why not do something better" prompt

Ex: why not do something better than fixate on women who complain if you don't like what they're complaining about.

universe was like, you're allowed to notice things

someone who made a joke with me in a park about being a doctor or nurse and needing  mouth to mouth resuscitation did not offend me because no malice was intended whereas people who get fixated on making sure you don't complain and seem to be not too nice about it are perilously close to that ever unpopular "retaliation" territory...come on really????

fell asleep, no TV, woke up

Not complaining will pay off for you some say, but that simply isn't true. Man, if I were a man, they'd pay me to complain. Now imagine the circumstances that would make someone say that. Or say your fixation on dress codes is insensitive and unnecessary. See this article again:

In conclusion, some people can still get more worked up about lots of things based on their training to be fearful, as opposed to curious and interested, and that just doesn't feel like it's as much fun sometimes. "On top of being impractical, Campbell says, the old dress code at ETHS was not being equitably enforced.

“A lot of our students felt—and I agreed with them—that if certain females were not a certain body type, if they had more curves or they had certain features that were developed, they were dress coded over another young lady who may not have the same features but were wearing the exact same items. Our young women of color were dress coded more than our white girls were.”

Is doing

I can't believe I am just complaining about my tooth issue right now, but it is the thing my body did.

& the health of others

I worry about a person's chronic cough

Is it this:

https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/that-nagging-cough

Well that person doesn't worry about it and is not coughing right now...

So back to the dental issue which is annoying but not as bad. Or maybe an excuse to scream or something. Or complain, at the least, about unfairness. And maybe realize this should get better. Why not. It wasn't always that way. So, get smart about how to handle that sort of health issue is maybe the next thing to do now.

Life in a body can be such a nuisance sometimes

I have a pain issue in the back upper right side of my mouth which happened after eating food in the evening and then the space between the last back two teeth got very irritated and I am supposed to see a dentist about it in April but it's very lame kind of pain to deal with right now. I wonder if I should try a different thing or try to call them when their office opens.

I also wonder if this stuff happens as a way to complain about pain. Here's the pain to complain about now: pain in the upper right back part of the mouth. Too much space and maybe exposed  nerve or something in the gum area. This is something unpleasant that needs to get fixed by some hand or some medicine.

Oh tooth area you've gotten very upset and you deserve to feel better finally, isn't that right, so what can I do to help you feel better?

It's a very uncharming pain.

Weirdly, typing about it has toned the pain down somewhat and that's kind of nice! But it's totally still annoying and yucky enough to complain about. Hmmm. What to do?

X's: now we see x is being obstinate

X's: now we see x is waiting for a ghost to tell her other x's aren't being milquetoast

Actually, this is the first account of her story that I read last year

that many forms of entertainment therapy exist

surely such horrors should never be repeated

"Were Junko Furuta's murderers ever brought to justice? Inside the story" – Film Daily

And it shouldn't take such horrendous occurences for people to notice that degrading the value of girls and women is sick and unhealthy.

"We even made it fun and entertaining for ourselves sometimes."

Maybe you should find an even better hobby!

Well, it might be out of fear and cowardice and other things.

Some cannot wait

for some people to change their tired, gas-lighting, hypocritical, self-absorbed behavioral patterns.

And their misogynist patterns inherited from the toxic patriarchal patterns...

"& how do you feel if"

you read about a character who is the type of guy who would play a tape of mewling pet noises outside of a girl's apartment to see if she'd come out until he heard the story that sex offenders might have tried it and then he stopped because he wasn't trying to be that, he just wanted to have a real conversation with someone who kept not wanting to (and of course that would be a good way to gain control over a situation he wanted to have more control over)

And include a body and biological process in there somewhere.

B) thinking about watching a film about an illustrator later

Violence against women is a problem

"Emergency calls on violence against women spiked in Mexico in 2020" https://www.reuters.com/article/us-mexico-women-violence-trfn-idUSKBN29U2FH

I had a dream in which a Mexican man was trying to kill a Mexican woman, but he got distracted by seeing me (wanted to kill both of us), and then she took advantage of the moment to beat the crap out of him. She also gave him a lecture while she was doing it.

To get more detailed, in the dream, I was there, and I saw him sneak up behind her with cloths to blind and choke her, but I couldn't speak or say anything and I felt unhappy about it. However, he was so distracted that he moved away from her towards me and it gave her time to collect herself and she saw what she could use to bring him down and also tell him what she thought of his actions. The last thing I remember was being next to both of them. She used her hands and feet and a very heavy barrel of some kind of white powder. All he could say was that he hated women. He looked very pathetic by the end of it.

Maybe I can finally watch The Paper Chase (some other time)

Those words used to seem to come floating around me when I was still in high school, and I wondered why.

"Feigen recounted that her property-law professor, A. James Casner—later the inspiration for the professor in the movie The Paper Chase—designated only one day a year to call on women in the class, which he dubbed 'Ladies' Day.'"

The Moon is hiding Mars

I so appreciate the moon and the stars tonight and I am sure spending more time appreciating nature would be the most healing thing.

Sometimes I feel bad when I think that someone with a genuinely helpful nature might have tried to ask me if I needed help years ago because I blew them off, but approaching a person on a street at night raises the likelihood of that happening. It's just that sometimes I am the person who would accept the help, but what if the universe interferes for some reason?

I don't think that past has to be repeated.

Internet communications have flaws. Face to face may be better, but who knows.

It's nice to be in a place where you feel appreciation naturally bubbling up and that what nature can do for some of us.

Trees, water. A clear view of night skies...

Why does your religion encourage that?

Exalting abusers and abusive practices.

What's the point of being in the universe?

It is very sad and painful to see or feel or perceive how much suffering occurs due to the toxic patriarchal elements of so many cultures on this planet, and how often men and women still perpetuate harmful behavior patterns which affect so many human beings in negative ways. Some might appreciate more efforts to find better ways of doing things in the future.

There. Must. Be. So. MANY.

Patriarchal forces combining to make people,  including people who claim to be passionate about civil rights, exalt an abuser over children's safety.

What situations could this sentiment apply to recently?

Patriarchal women deeply disappoint

I have zero desire to work for any man or women who acts like I am worth more or deserve to be treated better if I am a man, especially a man who assaults and traumatizes any human being with my currently non-existent...

Go examine your influences more deeply.

That really must have been terrible

"...it was the barren woman who was a pariah, an object of scorn to other mothers. 'From her first recorded mentions, the infertile female was a monster, distinct from woman-proper,' Kimball writes, recalling Atrahasis of Babylon, the Jewish Lilith (whom my daughter is named after), and the Egyptian Alabasandria, all of whom kidnapped children, caused miscarriages, stillbirths, and even male infertility. Many of the high-profile witchcraft trials, she points out, centered on barren women."
