If I were rich, maybe I'd become a real wine connoisseur right now. 🤣 Instead of immediately coming down from a vacation "high" by explaining how special this $49 bottle of wine is and no I don't know off the top of my head how much the tax was for it and that it's for a special occasion like the next birthday or something. Because when you put it that way, it's more relaxing. And how I tasted it and it was pleasing. And I took a bottle off the shelf, but the woman put it back and went and fetched me a bottle that had been on its side the whole time from the cellar. And I think it's pinker too. In the meantime, can research recipes with pink peppercorns to go with it!
And now I'm back.

I liked the "Tree and the Reed" fable the best when I was reading it, but I did not try the wine. I liked the "Milkmaid and Her Pail" wine the best because it's a white wine that tastes peppery to me; it makes me think of pink peppercorns. It has tannins in it. It's like the opposite of a rosé because it's a white wine that's made like a red.

A really funny memory I have about my friend's mother is that one time when I was staying the night and I was supposed to sleep on the couch, one of her brothers was already sleeping there and he wouldn't move when it was time for me to go to sleep. I couldn't go sleep in his room. I had to sleep on the couch, and his mom was trying to wake him up to go sleep in his room and he wouldn't get up, so his mom turned up the volume on the television and this woman's voice came blaring loud enough to wake up the dead:
YOU GET YOUR PERIOD! YOU STAIN YOUR PANTIES!
And then he wordlessly got up and went upstairs to his room.

I saw a double rainbow on the way to the concert!
Somebody who works at the venue had a really amazing photo of the rainbow over the stage and she was trying to upload it to Instagram but it wasn't working. She showed it to me when I went and bought what ended up being quite the mediocre sandwich with the bun too hard so that I deconstructed the whole thing and ate it all separately and threw most of the bun away. But I was checking back to see if she was ever able to upload the photo.
So there was a double rainbow and then there was a full moon rising.
I started to not feel well and I moved to the lawn and I was so grateful that there was real grass there. Before I went I was just trying to eat some stuff in my Airbnb because I spent money at one single winery that was calling to me. But then I bought the overpriced sandwich at the venue because I was just too woozy.
And finally I was feeling like I was getting nice and grounded again after I finished eating it. And I was feeling like this feral little kid since I had to eat it all separately. Literally like here's a piece of the meat. Here's a piece of the tomato. Here's a piece of the onion. That's what happens when the bun is not functioning properly.
I think I started to feel more properly aligned in my body when "Putting the Damage" on was playing.

Tori Amos – "Putting the Damage On Lyrics"
https://genius.com/Tori-amos-putting-the-damage-on-lyrics
The first room they gave me was really not good; the plumbing was messed up, and then they switched me to a room that's also quite shabby but it looks so much better than the first one. I was telling somebody about how I was nervous about this place after my more pampered stay in wine country and then he's like, be careful. There might be druggies around. And I said I don't know. This place is kind of like in between things. It's got some wine country elements but it's also kind of rougher.
Then this then this charter bus of Europeans pulled up. Lol! I think they're French and they're here for some wine tasting. It was a multi-generational affair. An older man looked rather stressed out and with saying some things very loudly then a lot of people were looking into each other's hotel rooms and laughing. I think they were comparing how shabby the rooms are or something. A man and a woman who looked young and fit and trim were sharing a room. I don't know what their relation is to each other. I wish I understood more French. It's hard to know exactly what they were saying, but I bet they're here for a wine tasting. I'll just bet why else would they come to this motel on a charter bus? And I could hear guitar music coming from one of the rooms.
I really like the two voices. It's the one that comes back to me the most right now.

I've been exercising far more regularly and getting sore muscles, but the results have not been what I had hoped. However, some people think I still look younger, but I know how I looked when I was younger and what size I was. So I know that I look older according to my genetics, but people who didn't see me when I was younger still think I'm in a different decade of my life, because some people in their thirties look like how I look right now.
My teeth have suffered. I can't bite into an apple. I mean, I can only do it on one side, and that's really awkward. I'm probably going to have to have more significant dental work done in the future.

The reason I think it's just okay is because it doesn't deal with what happens when you're the oldest daughter and you know sometimes others have suffered more than you and you couldn't fix it.
But nevertheless, this poem has many fans!
So, if you have created a work of art and you feel you can't have a deeper conversation about different view points and you're always tapping into your worshipful fan base to make yourself feel better...
Maybe you're kind of like an oldest daughter, too, but maybe not all of the oldest daughters are dealing with exactly the same things.
But I can still appreciate it while thinking, well, there must be more on this topic out there.
Just some food for thought!
"This could help A LOT of people."

After I ordered food she told me if I wanted to have a drink I would get it at the gas station. But I just decided to get a bottle of water from my car.
I accidentally mashed the top of my water bottle and I couldn't drink out of it. But I still had an old bottle of water in my car so I figured I could pour it in that one. And in the meantime, I watered a little olive tree or something that was in a pot.
And then I noticed a wine bottle was sticking in it. It says Star Lane vineyards. Now I am fascinated and I want to know what that is about. They have a very pretty label on the bottle.

If certain types of thin people and certain types of mothers and certain types of people in the spirit world now seem to be less prejudiced and able have more respect for my experiences than others at this time, then I'll just have to enjoy that, and hope that maybe some of the other kinds of people who used to seem to have the potential to be more open-minded / curious about others will catch up soon.
I can't believe how many people are still convinced that to be prejudiced against certain types of women living in certain types of bodies is what feels normal and good enough for them.

Today was so different from yesterday. Thank God. And I walked outside and noticed the lunar eclipse was going on. Didn't get a good picture of it because my phone doesn't take good pictures. But today my body was cooperating better and I made life different and I did it "All By Myself..."
(Cute song, "All By Myself.")
Also, I heard some 60s music on the radio and I was thinking oh Lucy probably would have listened to that one but then I was like well who are you to know? After all, other people knew her so much better than you. Perhaps you would pick a song and they'd say that wasn't the kind of music that Lucy would listen to at all. But then, I just as I was thinking that thought, I was passing by a road and it said Lucy Brown.
Lucy Brown!
Could Lucy Brown be a great name for a character?
Kind of makes me think of Charlie Brown a little bit.
And later I was revisiting that moment as I walked through the park and it was like, "Yeah, but of course, one must let go of things..."
And then I heard a bell go *ding.* It sounded like a meditation bell, but it wasn't. It was a bunch of moms and kids on the playground. Tiny little children were playing on an instrument, making the *ding* noise. It sounded like a good noise.
I feel that we can be guided by people who have transitioned (death) because their higher self is interested in us, but then again, maybe a part of them is also already reincarnated as a little kid, having new experiences. Isn't that a trip?
And then I began walking across the big lawn in the park, back towards my car, and for some reason the song of the evening came back to me...
("The Party")
Especially the part about ticking and tocking.
Think of all the different kinds of clocks people have looked at throughout the centuries.
I feel like something I admire about 19th Century Transcendentalists ever so long ago is how they had real conversations and arguments with each other. I don't know. Maybe it's stressful to communicate that way sometimes, but they didn't have TV, so what else were they supposed to do? They didn't have social media accounts to post and repost things.
In the past, I felt like when people didn't like what I had to say, I was like but you're just trying to shut me down. You're just trying to oppress me. You're just trying to censor me blah blah blah blah blah. Its more important to say it now because in the future it's not going to seem as odd was also something that was part of my response.
And that's quite true in this lifetime of mine. Because when I was a child or even a younger adult, I would express feminist sentiments that are kind of normal to people now. But they used to make people say oh you're that feminist blah blah blah. Because they weren't normal enough back then, but then later they became more normal and acceptable to society and people don't say that as much anymore. They don't say oh, you're such a feminist like it's a bad thing as often.
Although I will say sometimes their actions communicate that they might still be thinking it.
But ways of communicating could change in the future because everything's just a little partial view of what's all going on. An energy gets inside of you, and you don't know how to let it out. Maybe you use words. Maybe you use music. Maybe you go meditate. Maybe you lie on some grass. Maybe you pet a nice pet. Maybe read a book. Maybe watch a movie. Maybe you talk to a person. Maybe you don't talk to a person. What do you do?
