Mothering Sunday

Didn't know it 'til today, but this past Sunday was a day called "Mothering Sunday" (in certain Christian traditions???) I felt a very pleasant feeling when I read that. Maybe there is part of me that always liked religions that honored Mary, since I felt like she was quite ignored in most of the Protestant churches I had to attend growing up.

However, I found out about "Mothering Sunday" in a post by an old friend from school who said that it is her "least favorite day of the year." I think her post is quite thought-provoking and very interesting: to be a woman

Hmmm. Someone named Virginia Gal commented on her post. Don't know if that person and I ever got acquainted...
