For International Women's Day

(Image from crystallinks.com.) It's International Women's Day in the WA Post Entertainment section. And in the LA Times World Now section. A guy brought in cupcakes to work to celebrate. "For International Women's Day" he wrote in a note on the top of the box. Another person (not a guy) got a parking ticket and just felt petulant. On the way home, she thought "Maybe one of my personalities would like to write a poem and call it 'Sometimes, a guy is a whore.'" Whore, whore, whore, whore, whore. Why so? Was Benjamin Franklin a player and a whore? Maybe some people were whores in a past life? Guys, girls? If it wasn't already dark out it might be a good time to walk in nature, but since it's too dark out, it seems like it might be a good time to read some Thoreau... "Nature is a whore," Nirvana sings in In Bloom. An interesting video. And, a kid can sing it.
