Holy SUNDAY activities

O, What A Beautiful City
12 gates into the city...All-lay-looooooo
O, Father Abraham
An island girl moved with her family to a new neighborhood by the beautiful capital city of the country. It was quite a daunting prospect. She wasn’t getting along so great with the new Man of the House. But, in at least one respect, she was lucky, because right away, she met a nice new friend (from a different religion) at the bus stop. He was affable, easy to talk to, and wow, wasn’t she lucky? Alas, the world conspired to allow these two to drift apart…Many years later, she found herself wondering how. She meandered through a building of books (including ones about that other religion) and to her surprise there was another name she recognized, in one of the books. Oh my gosh. It was the name of a girl from a different bus stop. The one on the island! And that girl had actually converted to that boy’s religion. Truly, it was a very strange coincidence!
So, she was remembering that boy at the bus stop, and their nice conversations, and how funny that in a book, she should now read about that girl and she remembered how they also had nice conversations…
Ha ha. Just kidding! Never mind about that. Well, there was a lot of drug use on that island. High school girls can be very complicated. Although, some are still nicer than others! Oh well. At least, back in school, she had definitely seemed like less of a bully than…her little sister.
What if you were pregnant with your first child, and your friends highly recommended this excellent obstetrician to you, and then you made an appointment you found yourself staring at an old schoolmate. Oh…hi! Okay. So now I am supposed to entrust my body and child to that tall bitchy girl who didn’t know how to play nicely and used to chuck a basketball at my head in gym class…well! This certainly is an interesting conundrum… So…you don’t have any basketballs stashed away here do you? Ha ha. You know what, do you think you could just give me a referral? Thanks. I think that’ll be best. That’s very kind. Wouldn’t that be weird? After they grow up, how much do people really change? After listening to the funny Ben Folds version of Bitches Ain’t Shit, perhaps I’ll just need to take a walk and ponder some of these deep, spiritual questions. O, What A Beautiful City
