Two of us were sitting at the corner table, but only one of us noticed that the man who came in toward the end of our meal wanted our table, and that he complained loudly to the waitress about it.
And that he was playing some offensive, misogynistic sounding stuff on the phone he had.
And that he complained to the waitress when a guy who worked in the back came out and gave him "a look."
And that the waitress kept having to control the situation and placate him.
Because he wasn't really seated right next to us. He was actually seated a little bit farther away, but still.
One of us was more attuned to notice this behavior, and one of us was not.
(And then afterwards outside of the restaurant:
"Did you notice what that guy did and said?"
"What? No, but I thought maybe he was leaving.")
Just trying to have a nice meal!
"I am tired. We are tired. Men, do something. #patriarchy"
