Maybe the Nazis took over in that other era just because a bunch of people were traumatized by their childhoods and didn't know how to talk about things. So then, they either went along with what was happening or they looked the other way (and in that way, they also sort of were going along with what was happening.) And then there were a few standouts who were, you know, trying to save the persecuted, scape-goated ones. And then there were the persecuted, scape-goated ones, and there was all sorts of a variety of people amongst that class as well.
