They think it's a normal way to live, but their way of surviving feels not well or normal to me.

I don't know what to do about the people who just seem to feel entitled to not care about what's going on in regards to certain groups of people being persecuted right now 

Just how entitled they seem to feel to act like they don't have to care and don't want to care seems like an act of discrimination. It's like they're drunk on their own entitlement to not care about others, or something.

Maybe it's because I was a tutor and I worked with immigrants for ten years and I had such good interactions with some of them. So I'm really disturbed by the idea that they could be in concentration camps right now for no good reason and that really bothers me.

The version of "normal" that some have chosen feels like a really mean and insensitive way of living a life, to me.
