Cults appeal to people on any number of levels. They are often Patriarchal. It's important to realize that one cannot truly colonize daughters and wives and mothers and other interesting kinds of women simply because your Society's Patriarchal Cult gave you many messages that in order to get out on top and not be a part of the other subjugated classes, that was what was necessary. How much has the Empire seeped into your worldview?
Trump rallies are just one example of a recent cult phenomenon, but there certainly are others. And I feel kind of bad for some of the cult leaders because I think they mean to do good things, and it might be hard for them to get real help sometimes They have so many "yes men" around them. They either need to actively seek out help, or find more people who will give them blunt feedback, or pray to God. Or perhaps all three?
