The SNL parody of Say What You Want To Say was in my head today; I'll admit it. Powerful, funny women, I appreciate you!

Here's another song I heard in the grocery store.

I had sort of a buzzkill when I saw a super down-on-his-luck-looking guy in Wendy's. He was like a modern day hobo. I wanted to throw money at him. At least maybe some angels could take care of him. Think! ANGELS TO SAVE SAD WENDY'S GUY. And all the sick women I know in my life, too. Life can be hard and I see the stars when I walk home at night.

That was funny

So, trying to cheer myself up by watching a "funny" show depressed the hell out of me, but watching a show with darker themes made me feel better.

That's not how it would be everyday. But it's how it was this evening.

To note: sometimes if one person annoys another person by referencing certain "depressing" things that happen in society...don't be seduced into thinking it's simply to annoy.

It might be because it is a matter of survival.

(Or feels that way.)

It. Is. Progress.

Facing a terrifying hole of figuring out what you need to do next, unable to even decide on a book to read or a show to watch, this is the kind of evening that makes Nighthawks look like the social life you can't quite bring yourself to engage in. Huuuummm...Oh my god, not even an idea for a song to link to. Oh, maybe a show could be watched now.

Some of these Carnivale episodes are not for the faint of heart.
I tried to watch Parks & Rec but it was not happening.

The backlash about the herbal steam bath thing a while ago was very curious to me. I suppose I was taken aback because I had just heard about that treatment from someone else, and it didn't strike me as being much weirder than a sitz bath or even just sitting in a sauna. I know doctors have said it is a bad idea. But I don't think it has even been studied all that much. I wonder what the doctors think of taking bubblebaths? Woman marinates in cocktail of carcinogens and endocrine disrupting chemicals and lives to tell the tale. But maybe she shouldn't have done that?

sometimes I have no idea what's going on

uh, oh, I feel another one coming

you know what, actually
it's not that this sort of thing makes anyone "evil" but
being that guy who does stupid stuff
then has a nice wife or girlfriend or whatever save you
i.e. substitute their nice behaviors for you
is actually not that impressive
and I don't say that in a cold-hearted way
because I had a dream
I had a dream and it involved an XY sort
who was a nice person and was actually
very interested in just
being nice
and stuff
and that
was all very well, but
JUST HAVING THAT DREAM WAS NOT ENOUGH

Just a hole (in a wall) 2

Just a hole (in a wall)

I've had male friends that punched holes in walls.
I don't think I could do that.
I do rather like the idea of kicking a hole in a wall.

Now I'm trying to find an image:
Girl kicks hole in wall

Oh well I'll just have to settle for this:

https://sundresspublications.wordpress.com/

Here's a new idea for a test:

Make the above image into a sticker.
Think of any novels that have won awards in the last decade or so.
Look at the novel you have thought of in real life.
See if you're even slightly tempted to affix the sticker to it.

(You could probably also do this test with movies, TV episodes, etc.)

Why give up princes

if you don't want to? IT might be better to supplement your fatuation (it isn't a word! who cares?) with run-of-the-mill standard European-American blue-eyed lineage types of prince characters with princes of less European lineage, honorable wounded men souls who follow crazy girls everywhere (cause they rudely ignore them), sexualize their interactions in non-complimentary ways, create prize-winning artworks so no one cares if they used to treat females like communion wafers, genius sorts who make grand pronouncements on social ills and get worshipped and fawned over (by lots and lots and lots and lots of those blue-eyed princes) and only occasionally get just a little bit poked at. At least that makes for a slightly more well-rounded princedom.

Dance show

Had a few reservations about that snickering man, but I think I will watch Big Ballet.

something sneaky...

I think I have a sneaky/funny plan.
I will be that miracle story of that person who gets pregnant.
BUT THEN
I WON'T TELL ANYONE.
I'll just say I gained lots of weight.
No baby showers.
Especially no baby showers with mediocre middle classing bitching about "how hard it is to raise girls and how much better it is to have a boy," by the way. All doctor appointments will be secret.
Then, when baby appears magically (ha ha) and people ask questions, I'll lie and say "This is my foster child!" Or "We adopted."

I think that's an awesome lie, and exactly what society deserves.
I feel good about that.

What. Some people have weird senses of humor.

It doesn't mention anything about pregnancy. THATS SOMETHING. A while ago, I was walking around in a B & N with a gift card, but I ended up leaving without purchasing anything. I finally bought a book to educate myself about my anatomy, and also In Times of Trouble, which I just started. So far, it is not-easy going, because I cannot relate to a woman with a trust fund who wears a bikini while ordering a pitcher of daiquiris and eats three types of eggs with champagne, but I am holding out for the epic empyreal experience at Chartres Cathedral. Also, I like that cover, so it is worth it. I think it would be a good book to read while lying on a beach.
