Curiosity is important. I wonder where they learned their survival strategies.

Because you'd think that asking some people to show more respect or compassion for what others are going through is like asking them to actually put their own lives at risk somehow. Perhaps by hiding persecuted people under the threat of being put in a concentration camp. But that's not what you were asking them, was it?
