I kind of feel so much working class Watervliet energy coming back at right now. But women in my childhood didn't have feminist content to watch on YouTube. They had the "Clouds in my coffee..." song by Carly Simon. And Jane Fonda aerobics. And diets! Teenage girls had babysitting jobs and MTV. And there were advertisements in the back of Seventeen magazine about very thin, happy girls in bikinis going away to a camp in La Jolla, California, and having all your dreams come true could happen after you lost weight.
