They probably don't want to because they're afraid they might like it and they have to convince themselves that they like what they're doing right now the best, and that they're doing the absolute best they can for themselves, and they're just so stubborn and so addicted to their ways, and I just I can't deal with them right now.

Maybe they'll have a great emotional release, a cleansing, and a great spiritual awakening will descend upon them. That would be kind of cool.
