Those values are not good enough for us.

Harsh lessons from the patriarchal society:

It wants people to be self-absorbed and to act like focusing on materialistic possessions is far more important than treating people well. 

It convinces them that it's more "positive" to go along with whatever certain abusive people are doing, and it tells them to rewrite history to suit themselves. 

Going along with dehumanizing other kinds of people who are different from them begins to seem like the normal way to go about life. 

And then, anyone who doesn't go along with this behavior or points out the inequity gets penalized or punished, for some reason.

Those are not good values to live by. If you need to get along with others, and they act that way, that's not the best cult for you.
