Horrible physical cramps and hours earlier a bad crying spell. Maybe it was the wrong time of cycle to eat that not-so-healthy item for dinner. (That is correct). I did not follow that special plan. I should follow it. I hope I don't disintegrate into nothing. I am not in the body of a man nor a woman who gets to live without this bad health issue and survival is what they don't understand and did not ever have to deal with. Your parents do not have your genetics. There must be a better way of living through this.

It's good to accomplish what you came for

Even though it was quite hard to read and I believe she had more joy in her than what the book represents and I was shocked about her passing, I have long believed souls can come back if they want to. Recreational considerations in the early a.m.
Even though more than one person has told me it made them stomach-sick to watch it, they also said the Handmaid's Tale is a really good show. (Maybe fans of the ever popular GOT would also appreciate it.) So anyway, last night I decided I could try Handmaid's Tale. I was feeling tough. I had prepared myself. At the end of the first episode I was doing so well! I decided I could watch another one. Then, when I was least expecting it, I was overwhelmed by terrible nausea and sweating. I felt a lot like I did after I got the flu shot...Barely managed to keep from throwing up. I crawled into bed with ginger tea and used the Calm app and mercifully, eventually fell asleep. Is it worth it to watch the show again? Maybe...when I feel up to it...just one episode at a time...

Thought bubbles
I don't mean to boast but it is very funny that you do not realize I am somewhat of a national treasure...That's great. Perhaps I flew over when you were twelve. Are you sure you're a grown-up? It must be great to have no PTSD. I am nauseated and so is that little girl. Oh well, here's a mom taking care of her kid as we wait patiently. We'll always have waiting patiently, for some reason.
There are survivors...
You can admire their resilience. You can feel as if have been there too, in other times. You might have a real appreciation for a soul who has seen some things (military life, crazy upbringing, survived abusive situations etc.) and see how parts of their experiences overlaps with your own tough experiences.
We are here to be creative, but we have different ways of going about it sometimes.
Sometimes an undernurtured, overcriticized child carries the pain as an adult and you can still feel for the person but you could get run over by their hostility just because you could have a productive time when the part-time delightful personality who can be fun and receptive decides to show up on a sporadic basis.
Also such a person cannot be there for you when too much of their own agenda is always ruling everything.
