I'm still recovering from the knowledge of the monstrosity that is my friend's mortgage. Two and a half bathrooms and multiple bedrooms for one person who doesn't have a roommate and doesn't want one. I mean that's not so bad in and of itself, but the idea that being the owner of those things necessitates such an uncompromising attitude towards the well-being of fellow human beings...
That's what's really scary.
Anyways, kudos to all those people who would try harder than some others not to be a guard at a Nazi concentration camp for the money.
There are also those who would give up their house and live in an apartment rather than be a guard at a Nazi concentration camp.
You know, Miep Gies lived in an apartment.
