I feel like my relatives and ancestors grew and harvested a lot of food. And I've read that PCOS creates a condition where the body perceives itself to be in a state of famine.
And some even think that this type of PCOS body might have evolved because it helped some bodies survive famines. Since this is the body I'm living in, it's hard for me to not see food as really important to our survival, I guess.
I don't mean like it has to be terrible food. In fact, that's the opposite of what I mean. What about having access to the really healthy stuff? That's important, isn't it? And nobody can grow and harvest all of that healthy food all by themselves.
