I can remember having an experience in the 2000s when I was driving across the Midwest, probably to Chicago, enjoying listening to music so much while on a road trip by myself, and I kind of had a question and answer session with myself: Do you want to hang out with more people in the music industry? And I said to myself, No, I do not. Because I felt like it was a hyper masculine and stressful industry, and the girls were encouraged to act like groupies, and I didn't want anything to do with it. But I still enjoyed listening to music on my road trips in my car.
