From 8:30 to 10:30, the Earl himself actually seems to care more about the photograph of the butler because he was his "great friend" who was the only one who would tell him anything that was going on in the house (because it seems like the children weren't particularly wanted outside of the nursery) but his American daughter-in-law, who became a viscountess, seems to be more concerned with the objects in the house, like the furniture and the paintings...
