You're definitely not doing that for other mothers' children. I don't even think you're doing it for your own.

You just have to flaunt all of those messages that got pumped into your little fragile brains when you were small and felt insignificant and you wanted to grow up and be big and important and accepted by a violent, patriarchal, racist, misogynistic culture.
