I live where I can see local fireworks from our backyard. That's fun because I didn't used to have an easy time getting a view of the fireworks. But my favorite 4th of July fireworks were the ones I saw as a kid in Michigan. My grandmother had so much fun taking us to see them. She'd drive to a quiet neighborhood and park her car on a hill where we had a perfect view of them. It was a magical excursion. I thought, how could anybody not love this? Truly, I felt that it was one of the best things we experienced all year.
Nowadays, I sort of feel like I can "take or leave it" about fireworks but I try to enjoy them and tap into my inner child when they are easy to see. Cats are not a fan of the noises and need to be by a safe human when the fireworks are going off.
