PTSD from Existing in a Patriarchal Society, hast thou tricked me again?

Today I made potatoes in the oven, and when I touched one of them it exploded, which reminded me of something like that happening to the dad in a Ramona Quimby (au: B. Clearly) book.

Today, after putting a book down for at least a week and then coming back to print media...this was at the top of the page:

"Now my shock is finished, I'm starting to feel angry at the trick he played on me. Asking for my milk!

'You were Lord Robert's fool,' Godfridus emphasizes.

Hercule sighs. ' Yes. But I was one of many. He had us all sleep together in an old henhouse, which he liked to visit with huntsman. He tried to breed us, to produce a race of tiny people. He had us mate for his sport.'

'Is that why you left him?'"

And then the character goes on to describe his many physical aches and pains.
