I think adoption could start to look more appealing when parents get less shallow, sexist, and racist.

Or maybe I just need to pick different kinds of people to look at and know about. Smarter ones, who don't have to be so shallow in order to fit in. Being shallow isn't that smart or kind; it's just a fierce Patriarchal survival strategy / coping mechanism.
