Some of the idea is that it's good to protest what ICE is doing when you know you're not one who is at risk of getting kidnapped, because that's helping show the people who are at risk of getting kidnapped that they are human beings who matter to you. And perhaps even more so, it shows other people who also probably won't get kidnapped but who worry about them more than you do (because it's their neighbors and coworkers and friends and family) that you still care anyway.
