Cheese and crackers probably wasn't the healthiest breakfast for this type of female genetics; however...

I remember when I was at the poet Ruth Stone's house and she had a big slice of white bread and a hunk of cheese and a glass of wine and she offered me some and I declined it because I was trying to be good and only eat like hummus and salad that day. Because of PCOS, but it was also because of menstrual cramps which she probably didn't suffer from because she had different genetics from me. But said, with exasperation,  "So healthy!" and it was not in a complimentary way. So anyways. She probably would have liked that I ate cheese and crackers. And chocolate. For breakfast.
