Making excuses for predatory behaviors and acting like everything's a big joke when people who are real human beings are actually suffering does not create welcoming environments for traumatized people. Or actually, maybe it's more accurate to say a certain kind of traumatized person is welcomed in that environment, but another kind of traumatized person is not.
