"How Prejudice Can Affect the Collective Consciousness" ~ Eckhart Tolle

There's many reasons.
Knowing from experience that some people were raised by the Patriarchal Culture to discriminate against certain kinds of people who are different from them can be a very painful experience, especially when you used to think these are the ones who were capable of so much better.
There are traumatized people who will nevertheless stubbornly cling to the old, dehumanizing ways that the Patriarchal Ones wanted them to keep on repeating, because apparently, that is what feels good enough to them, for now. But for how long can that continue?
She sounds like a mature & reliable person, too.

Here's an article to read & consider:

Yay, why not?????
Can't women and girls in Afghanistan get to have fun and kindness and attention and support and care?
Too hard = too unwell, too unhealthy, & still too abusive
The vibe of "It is just too hard for us to act like girls and women and their human rights matter when the patriarchal standards we felt we needed to align ourselves with are still so against us acting like we should care about such people" is immeasurably disrespectful and discriminatory and disappointing, and also not even good for the ones who are supposedly benefiting from 'fitting in' with those standards!
They're being quite mean to themselves, also. They're still addicted to those bullying and self-bullying behaviors, for various reasons.
You could help yourself much more quickly.
The only reason you're still acting entitled to dehumanize others is because Patriarchal systems rewarded you for denying the others their humanity.
You got manipulated by your own need to be accepted by those systems.
It is unsustainable. It cannot go on indefinitely. It will most certainly not always be like that.
You should help yourself more.
When you were younger, you were so much nicer to a wider variety of humans, and so much more of a truthful & trustworthy person, too.
Maybe sleeping it off will help.
"This looks intriguing, but also too good to be true. It looks like a scam!" "Yes, it is a scam. Time to go to bed."
I want the world to get clarity on what's good & healthy.
"For two years now, Taliban authorities have denied women and girls their rights, including to education, work, movement, and assembly. And when it comes to women’s rights in Afghanistan, it feels like the world’s diplomats have been on vacation every day of that time."

Why not ask for much, much better?
I hope that some who got very distracted will get much better at asking for clarity on their purpose in this life, and that maybe they will be inspired to surround themselves with more humans who are actually interested in making things better and not worse for themselves and others in regards to human rights and the climate and the environment on Earth.
This is truly needless oppression & suffering.

Wounded.
Even if you have inherited some "entitled to be insensitive about the human rights of certain kinds of people" habits in order to fit in with the society around you, you can still choose to change those habits now, and not wait until you get reborn into a different kind of body to do that.
And, since you weren't like that when you were younger, you're only going along with that stuff to get through life temporarily, but it might not end up being so good to choose to keep on doing it, even if you got rewarded for it.
