People who insist on being unnecessarily combative can wreck their own destinies. But sometimes when people take certain addictive drugs, it alters them to the point of toxicity. How much leeway does one give a person. Or is rehab necessary.

Getting tired of almost letting myself believe in some things (because possibility and hope and transcendence and evolution and creation!) and then crashing because of those awful reminders from the universe that it's being ruined because things are still too unhealthy, and too many excuses are still made for behaviors that are disrespectful and narcissistic and hurtful...

Addiction and/or additive/ destructive behaviors can absolutely ruin a lot of things.

Some people have been careless because they superficially benefited (monetarily and in other ways) from outdated systems of bigotry which are not going to be as tolerated in the future.

Today I went to the beach and was too seasick to swim much. On the way back, I was subtly looking at flat-bodied men and thinking,you really have no idea that one day you could reincarnate into the totally different body of a woman with PCOS, do you? Do you? But it so. It is so! ABRACADABRA!!! Later I ordered baba ganoush and struck up a conversation with a svelte woman who invited me to hot yoga and hot barre classes at her gym. Maybe I can take some classes. I liked them in the past, when they didn't involve that "hot" element. I will tell myself the money is worth it. What else am I supposed to do but learn from an experience?
