People choose themselves and they say it's going to be a life where we go deeper into the feelings and that requires a certain level of commitment so even if it means we don't have as much of a relationship in the external worlds. If it allows us to go deeper into the feelings than it's serving our mission and that makes it worth it for some reason. We must have very deep feelings about all kinds of things like the beach or the sky because we are a part of nature and there's things about our society that want us to forget that. But whether we remember or not, we are still a part of nature.
