Really, they made their choices, which were very cruel. And discriminatory. And selfish. And sexist. They seem immature, almost like a part of them never grew up.
I feel like they might have made themselves more immature in order to fit in with a system that rewarded them for being more immature.
And now that the system is collapsing, what can you do? You cannot look to these people for any kind of inspiration or help whatsoever.
If they choose to continue on with their old ways, you can't.
