Also, I had so many bad experiences with selfish, greedy, but supposedly "successful" people who ingested the patriarchal values and adopted them because of their very desperate attempts to get a grasp on the Patriarchal Version of Power. And they spit those values right back out at others. People who I had once thought I could admire. People who I thought could be helpful. It's like they got infected with small-minded bigotry because they felt they deserved to have permission to abuse people and get revenge. They always saw the bad in others but not in themselves because the Patriarchy wants people to be that short-sighted.
