It may also be a tragedy that some of the more privileged children got parents who have role modeled some very shallow materialistic coping mechanisms, with the idea that they need to live in a little white supremacy bubble filled with certain categories of privileges or materialistic things in order to shut out the others, and to allow their brains to gain more access to happy chemicals.
