This bee classic!

Well, dear PCOS genes, geez, I sure do wish I could eat the wheat and dairy products from that food bank without ballooning quite so much. I was losing weight at the end of last year when I was watching what I ate like a hawk. I should take Myoinisitol more regularly, in addition to Choline.
What did you do last weekend.
Well, on Sunday I was listening to one of the Brothers Grimm tell some curious ladies that in real life he sets off fire alarms for a living and thinking that for some reason I am going to remember that.
Looked at some fire department paraphernalia in a museum on Saturday (among other things), and the reflection says a big bee costume was right behind me.
Games had an impact.
"Acebush1 also regularly posted in various video game Reddit communities, including one dedicated to the video game 'Valheim.' In Bushnell’s self-immolation livestream, the liquid container he is carrying has a sticker with the slogan ‘the bees are happy,’ a meme from 'Valheim.'”

He needed money, you know?
"The acebush1 Reddit user joined the military soon after posting about their financial struggles at the beginning of the pandemic. On March 19, 2020, acebush1 inquired about becoming an Uber Eats driver. The following month they posted asking for financial help: 'HELP – Can’t get stimulus or unemployment benefits, about to run out of money.'
In May, acebush1 posted a photo with the caption “My Dad getting suited up to give me a goodbye? hug before I leave for BMT” — basic military training. According to Bushnell’s LinkedIn page, he enrolled in 'Basic & Technical Training' in the Air Force in May 2020."

I wonder, did Lee encounter any Donut Dollies?
"Her nightmares woke us nearly every night, leaving her hoarse. She had inexplicable outbursts of anger during the day. A battered Army footlocker in the living room held her mementos, but my mother carried World War II inside her like a ghost. She had never been a soldier, but she volunteered to serve with the Red Cross Clubmobile Service and followed the troops into combat.
The Clubmobile Service was essentially a mobile social club for the battlefront. The 'Donut Dollies' drove two-and-a-half-ton GMC trucks, three women to a crew. In the back of the truck: a galley with huge electric urns for making coffee and a doughnut machine, a record player, sometimes letters from loved ones to be delivered. My mother was trained to always be a friendly face, ready to listen, comfort and encourage. Which meant she and the other women were also direct and secondhand witnesses to everything that happened during that brutal war. I now recognize my mother was tortured by PTSD, her nightmares and outbursts classic symptoms of something she would never understand: After all, 'battle fatigue' was for the boys."

"The meat of the film is Miller’s foray into the theater of war in Europe, i.e., the actual war, where young people, mostly men, were being mutilated and killed in action. Miller is refused military accreditation (which she overcomes after much persistence) and often hears phrases like, 'You can’t be here, lady.' This might seem terribly sexist now, but when Miller encounters a military hospital, with all its attendant horrors, she begins to wonder if they have a point."

I am so glad that this world has all kinds of gifted artists and musicians who can help us feel things and that the spectrum is just getting bigger...sometimes you need sad music, sometimes a joyful tune, and maybe now I would love to hear a lullaby...or the lullaby-like parts of all the different kinds of songs...
Bless all the people who gave me an example of being on a path of healing
I hope to be more like them soon. Perhaps I am getting there. I am ready to be full of gratitude for having an opportunity to become one of the ones who can get to be on a more healing path now. I am meant to heal from all the challenging situations. I am meant to find new creative ways to be in this world. Thank you to the part of me that gets back to remembering that, however many times I may have felt knocked off of that path to better wellness, I can be glad to have an opportunity to come back to it. So many people on Earth are searching for better ways and that's more important than not being perfect in communicating or expressing it. And thank goodness for nature.

For some reason I am thinking about a guy who was doing a Vaudeville Act
He was making jokes that had some poking fun at the Patriarchy undertones. "Men don't like it when I tell that joke for some reason." He used Tic Tacs and gagged and coughed. He was a fan of Van Halen. He pulled a quarter out of his nose after appearing to swallow it. He saw us afterwards and said he likes it when people who weren't so into the act at first get more drawn in / interested / entertained. He maybe had a wife and daughter? (They were not in the show, but walking around with him afterwards.) I think they all had Mexican heritage? The program slot just says "Sideshow and flea circus."

You need to revise "Dear Motherly Bigotry" a little bit more.
Just because so many parents were raised by a deeply Patriarchal Culture to discriminate against so many of the "different ones" in exchange for a better chance at social acceptance doesn't mean they can't change their attitudes before that very special great grand child with the the different genetics gets born to an ever-evolving and more enlightened society of grown-ups.

A new-to-me writer! Christina Rosetti was a fan.
"What think you of Jean Ingelow, the wonderful poet? I have not yet read the volume, but reviews with copious extracts have made me aware of a new eminent name having risen among us. I want to know who she is, what she is like, where she lives. All I have heard is an uncertain rumour that she is aged twenty-one, is one of three sisters resident with their mother. A proud mother I should think. If our dear Scotts move away altogether from the North, I fear my prospect of making your personal acquaintance must dwindle to the altogether vague. Your kindness, however, has made us no strangers, even should we never meet—or, rather, never meet here; for one of the last days of the year the separations and meetings of time should not alone be thought of.
Yours cordially,

It might even hurt or alienate some people's descendants more than you ever intended. They are not getting an exact copy of your genetics or your life experiences.

Now, more than 70 years later, having pined throughout her adult life for the joys and rigors of her mother’s farm, Virginia Bell Dabney has brought that life to life again in an exquisite new memoir. The publication of 'Once There Was a Farm . . .' marks Dabney’s literary debut at age 71."

"In 2009, 9 year old Kelli Mayo and five years older Peyton Bighorse found themselves living in the same house when Mayo’s father moved in with Bighorse’s mother. A child and a mid-teen suddenly forced together, that should go well! The result should have been a jealousy fit lasting years, especially given the young Mayo’s sometimes disturbingly precocious nature. There is a glorious early interview with the pair on YouTube in which a then 12 year old Mayo sounds like an over-verbose philosophy professor, while Bighorse resignedly rolls her eyes.
They can actually be a hilarious double act in interviews. In a discussion with Amby in 2016 the pair were asked to sum up their bandmate in one word. Bighorse went first and her word for Mayo was 'genius'. Mayo’s for Bighorse was 'nurd'. Bighorse, did a visible double-take before calmly coming back with 'I guess I should say creative genius, not all round genius'."

And that's why my next topic is birds.
Being self-absorbed happens, and it's a bit of a reflexive way of dealing with a life on earth for some people's egos, but it is really not a safe refuge for most people.
Emotions are part of life.
I need to cry. I had a little nap earlier and heard a scream when I woke up. It was not outside. I am just processing being sensitive to trauma. I will accept that this is something I have access to for some reason and ask the universe to help become more integrated and able to succeed in the near future.
What if the truth is...
That if the universe wants me to be more in touch with my feelings, and to learn more about how to process some stuff that a Patriarchal Society is still not very good at talking about, that I should continue to learn more, instead of going along with other people's programs, even when it means forfeiting some signs of external materialistic success.
What if it wants me to know that we should all be able to tend to our health, and that society is capable of evolving to becoming far more healthy in so many ways that are spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical.

This happened when I was in a much smaller body.
"'Menachem, this is a holocaust,' Reagan told Begin.
Yes, an American leader used the H-word in conversation with an Israeli leader. Begin responded with sarcasm, telling the US president that 'I think I know what a holocaust is.' Reagan, however, didn’t budge, insisting on the 'imperative' for a ceasefire in Beirut.
Twenty minutes. That’s all the time it took for Begin to call back and tell the president he had ordered Sharon to stop the bombing. It was over. 'I didn’t know I had that kind of power,' a surprised Reagan told an aide, upon putting down the phone.
Flash forward 42 years and the Israeli assault on Gaza has now gone on for twice as long as the siege of Beirut. In 1982, Reagan was said to have been moved by the image of a single wounded Lebanese child. As of last week, more than 12,300 Palestinian children had been killed in Gaza, and tens of thousands maimed and injured, in just four months."

People need to look at themselves and learn how to relax and chill.
Owing to the impact of certain messages in society, some people are just as intense about pro-natalism as some businessmen can be when they get very "cut throat" about closing their business deals. You can feel it. It's not the only way to be in life.
Is it possible...
That sometimes there's something in the universe that might want you to heal stuff more than be outwardly what some people would call successful or entertaining or catering to egos...or that, at the very least, it might feel like that's what's more important to acknowledge sometimes, for health reasons...yes, it may be so.
What if...
Sometimes there's an aspect of universal love that says "You have the potential to heal certain parts of who you are even more deeply now, and in the near future, if you are willing to do so" and it has to do with you and your consciousness and your ancestors and energy and how humans are connected to bigger patterns.

Space! A beautiful gift to take care of yourself.
People need space to respect themselves. I recently had a light hypnosis experience where I said I just really needed to make a space for myself to make art. I did, and guess what? I actually got more energy to look for work afterwards. I really did! Just from making a space for myself. I didn't even do much art in it yet. A little bit of drawing, not anything to sell. But the space is there! It is on the kitchen table, too. Nothing rented, not even a "special extra corner of the house." It literally took five minutes to make it. Kitchen table, cleared, and a bit more suitable to make some art with space for art supplies on the bench. I think it actually may have helped? SO interesting.
It looks to me tonight like it is so beautiful to grow as a person
I believe she can help herself by going within and towards any spiritual practices she intuitively vibes with and asking nature and the universe for helpers.

She's going to need help. Lots of people who have more or fewer children or none at all also have their own different kinds of struggles.
Everyone has different things to deal with. As with many other people, what seems to be a "simple" lifestyle actually does rely quite a lot on the labors of others. No one grows all their own food and no one makes all their own clothes, but all people definitely deserve peace and love and help, too!!!!
Healing is so important!
I love when people come into a greater awareness of what's important in life.
Making the choice of honoring creativity and to choose health in this society is beautiful and strong.
I just got kind of like a good culture shock!

"United Nations experts have called for an investigation into alleged violations against Palestinian women and girls in Gaza and the occupied West Bank since the start of the war.
'We are shocked by reports of the deliberate targeting and extrajudicial killing of Palestinian women and children in places where they sought refuge, or while fleeing,' a group of experts appointed by the U.N. Human Rights Council said in a statement Monday. 'Some of them were reportedly holding white pieces of cloth when they were killed by the Israeli army or affiliated forces.'
They also expressed concern over the alleged arbitrary detention of hundreds of Palestinian women and girls in Gaza and the occupied West Bank since the start of the war. They said many detainees were reported to have been subjected to 'inhuman and degrading treatment,' including being held under difficult conditions, denied menstruation pads, food and medicine and being severely beaten.
They said multiple cases of rape and sexual abuse have also been reported. NBC News was not immediately able to independently verify the allegations."
