Make good decisions that are for the benefit of your health.

I must get the cat in because the wildfire smoke has shifted this way.

Climate change for babies, children and grown-ups.

"The people who feed America are going hungry" | Grist

https://grist.org/food-and-agriculture/farmworker-hunger-crisis-climate-inflation-grocery-costs/

Overprivileged is underprivileged.

Overprivileged enough to be shallow enough to unsee what happens to certain kinds of human beings, including some girls and women more than others, is not actual privilege.

It's just like what someone who's addicted to a substance that's bad for them does in order to cope with the difficulty of having an Earth life.

Those temporary self-absorbed coping mechanisms that gave some a very false sense of security for a limited amount of time will not endure because better ways will be necessary.

And yet, you must get your energy and calories from somewhere.

It's really important when the people who look important to your society experience a disaster, compared to when other people who don't look so important to your society experience a disaster. Why is that? Must it be that way?

The fragile adults have things in common with babies.

They are in adult bodies now, but they need at least ten ego feedings. And then, maybe, they will feel old enough offer you a crumb by recognizing the existence of an "other."

Is that the positive point of view?

Really, the potential to be better to the "different" people is still quite high.

Didn't know what to do. Felt some relief eventually.

Remember that time when a young transgender person was sitting next to you in an airport and telling the people they were with, that they were sick of being treated like "a disgusting other?"

That was anxiety-inducing. Didn't know what to do.

And then this young person said, well, maybe they would just cry about it for a little while, and then they'd feel better.

That offered a little bit of relief. They had found a solution of sorts.

Shuteye, interrupted.

Had a dream about talking to a friend I have only seen in a few dreams. The presence feels real. I would like to see this person (or presence) again, so I'm going to go back to sleep. Maybe, maybe it will happen.

I'm aware that sometimes there's a feeling of great disappointment that some people who used to act like they cared more about different kinds of people and about civil rights no longer want to act like they care.

It literally is if they aged out of wanting to care.

Life was too hard on them, and now they're just trying to get by, and they don't care, because it isn't convenient enough for them.

Why do they clearly feel it's more comfortable to ditch certain types of girls and women?

I'm not just talking about me. There's other ones too.

The unexamined sexism is very jarring and upsetting.

At the very time certain kinds of human rights are being challenged, it's like they forgot. They used to care about people who are different and about civil rights.

Now you know why these things happened in the past.

People get fatigued and stubborn.

Why not choose a different survival strategy?

It's bizarre.

It's like a tame nightmare.

I understand there's worse things going on, but still.

Just as a way of filtering through some life experiences...

Attempts at communications in the English language occur again.

"Virgo picky high expectations" voice says...

"I'm only using those words because that's what people seem to ascribe to those who have higher expectations."

This voice says, "I think I want the best for people on Earth, and I may need to learn more and evolve more about how to communicate that better, and I may have a lot to learn in many different arenas, but I don't think lowering standards for what could be is actually what's best for them.

Sometimes that comes off as picky or critical.

But it's more complicated than that.

I've tried to lower expectations before, and it never worked out.

Sometimes you just have to have high expectations and get disappointed.

Sometimes that's what's authentic.

Expecting growth and better things and getting super happy when it happens is the dream.

It could be that I have only occasionally attracted the attention of certain types of people because my energy expects more of them than the average person expects.

Some people actually kind of like the energy of someone having high expectations of them.

Some people sense that it's really for the purpose of wanting things to get better for them and for everybody.

Even if they don't sense it all the time, there are times when they sense it.

Maybe that makes it worth it.

Higher purpose...what is it?"

Life is an exercise in learning, and sometimes isolation...

"Asheville, NC isolated by flooding..."

This gave me slight vibes of the aftermath of a tornado. Dorothy, the witch, you're not in Kansas anymore...This photo is called portrait of a middle-aged one-cat lady who teared up when she found out some people with a tiny baby had to evacuate from Asheville because they ran out of water, and is thinking, today it seems like I have a simple life. Thinking about the ones in that area who stayed and are writing for the newspapers too...

Do you even know what you're doing?

Sad.

"According to a recent Gallup Poll, half of Americans see undocumented immigration as a threat.

And, anti-immigrant rhetoric has been on the rise.

These days you can tune into a political speech on almost any level, and hear immigrants described as criminals and drug smugglers.

"Vasquez, who is originally from Mexico, sees the anti-immigrant sentiment as anti-Latino. He's been in the U.S. for around 20 years and says he's seen it evolve: he feels it's become almost obligatory for presidential hopefuls to target Hispanics.

Misinformation about the border and immigration has indeed become a centerpiece in this election year. Immigrants being presented as a threat by politicians at all levels makes for dramatic headlines almost every day.

On a local level, states like Texas and Florida have been butting heads with the Federal government, accusing the Biden administration of inaction, saying they have no choice but to pass their own immigration legislation.

A spokesperson for Florida Governor DeSantis told NPR that the governor signed the law 'to protect Floridians.'

But at a local farmer's market, Ana Maria Perez, a fruit saleswoman, says she's cautious about driving around, even though she's a permanent resident. 'If you have dark skin,' Perez says, 'the police here stop you for any reason.'

Perez says she has a son in college, here in Florida. But when he graduates, in a year, she and her husband want to go north.

Not everyone in Fort Myers is anti-immigrant, she clarifies. But she says the racism has intensified here. 'I feel like.... something has been awakened,' she says. 'A monster that was asleep.'"

I don't see this knowledge going away...

"Waking up from Our American Dream:

As Seneca First Nation member and psychologist Terry Cross defines it in this keynote presentation, 'culture is one group or people’s preferred way of meeting their basic human needs.' The American Dream tells us that we meet our basic needs by working hard to 'pull ourselves up by our bootstraps.' That way, we become free from having to depend on anyone else.

Who benefits from this story being told? Is it even true? As Daniel Suelo says in The Man Who Quit Money, 'There’s not a creature or even a particle in the universe that’s self-sufficient. We’re all dependent on everybody else' (p. 133). Who sewed the clothes you’re wearing right now? How many materials from how many different parts of the world are inside the device you’re reading this post on? How many hands touched the food you ate for lunch on its way to your table? How many living beings participated in the creation of your home, in your education, and in your emotional state? Even if you purchased these goods with money you earned, you are relying on a community to care for you."

Next time you catch yourself caring about civil rights again, like has happened before...

The voice that said "Just because the Unwell Patriarchal Systems wanted to groom some people to act like certain kinds of peoples' lives are much less important to consider than other kinds of peoples' lives doesn't mean it's good or healthy for people to continue repeating those old patterns" got activated for REAL, and for REASONS.

Its not your fault that human rights for girls and women are constantly being threatened in your country.

That's why "How to be more articulate at explaining why certain behavior patterns are so easy to repeat" is going to helpful to future descendants, particularly when you start delving into why you'd stop supporting that guy so much if he came back and had a new life on this planet in another kind of body.

God sees all kinds of people.

I have experienced "grief about people in a patriarchal society getting trained to abandon and unsee certain kinds of girls and women as a way to cope with life" sadness.

And the "why are they gonna treat that guy so much worse when he comes back in the different form, and how old were they when they felt the need to start repeating old patterns?" questions are real.

And sometimes "if" feels like "when."

I don't see why so-and-so should be treated so much worse by the society he's kept if he comes back in a different body.

People can get very defensive.

"FACT CHECK: Are pro-life laws to blame for arrest of SC woman who delivered baby in a toilet?"

https://www.liveaction.org/news/south-carolina-woman-toilet-pro-life-laws/

People want to defend their habits, their beliefs, their prejudices... It's noticeable.

When is it oppression?

It's been an interesting time to notice patterns

When some people seem to feel more comfortable acting like certain kinds of women are more easy to unsee or devalue than others, that reminds me of prejudice...because it is prejudice. Why should x types of humans be seen as less valuable just because certain messages in society started that as a pattern? What if it is an old habit that will need to change sooner or later? And if change happens sooner rather than later, would that be so bad?

Blessing!🐈‍⬛

A post about the beautiful Tatras.

"Easy winter hike in High Tatras" | SLOVAKATION

https://www.slovakation.com/want-take-photos-fox-elishka/

Part VI. The end. If you read it out loud, you might cry.

"I bent and made my arm into a stalk growing from the ground. I opened my fingers to sniff the petals of an imaginary flower. He let out a small shout of laughter and grabbed my hand and pressed it against his head. I think he meant that I had understood that he had been miming the coming of spring.

Before we left that evening, the children sang for us. Their faces were flushed with the pleasure of performing. At our departure, they crowded around the great entrance doors of the house, stunted little weeping figures. They stood quietly while we walked down the cleared path to our little bus. But as we drove away, we saw them waving vigorously, to wish us a safe journey."

Part V of the piece.

"He smiled at me and pointed at the sky. He made flapping motions with his arms more and more slowly as the wings of the bird he was imitating closed around his body and it landed on the rim of the bird bath. He turned his head, then stretched it forward as though to drink. His hands fluttered once again; his arms made flying motions; the bird flew away.

I applauded. He danced in triumph and then, making little clucking sounds that may or may not have been Polish words, he shook the snow from a bush nearby and motioned for me to look closely at what he was doing as he put his hands together beneath his chin, then gradually widened them. I caught on and kicked some snow away from the ground. The earth looked like iron."

Part IV of the piece. Looked up "gelid."

"A boy whose name in English would have been Richard asked me to call him that through the interpreter. He didn't want his Polish name; he'd thrown it away. He said he wanted me to accompany him to one of the huge gardens I had noticed as we approached the mansion. I thought he was nine or so. I was told he was fourteen.

We went through the French doors of the dining room. It was nearly dark now, but there was a rose-colored light on some of the mountain slopes. He held my hand as we walked along a partly cleared path, snow-laden branches of shrubbery leaning toward us, the bare branches of winter-blackened trees above. It was a somber, frozen, lonely place, the gelid heart of winter. Then he ran a few feet ahead of me and, with his arms and legs, brushed the snow from what I mistook as a column that had once supported a mythological or heroic statue. It was a very large bird bath."

Part III of the piece.

"After supper, the Englishwoman, Mary, give a concert for the children. They sat with rapt attention as she sang in a language they didn't understand, but they understood the music.

Only one Yugoslav and two Czech journalists spoke Polish; the rest of us depended on an interpreter. The children wanted to know everything. Where had we come from and why? Did we live in houses? What were they like? If we had children, where were they, with us so far away? Had we left them with relatives or strangers?

They did not speak of their own histories except in the most indirect fashion, and not always in words. They were painfully alert to any sudden movement and fell into abrupt silences in the midst of merriment, when they seem to sink into troubled dreams that raced like camera lights across their faces; then they would suddenly burst out into hectic, even frantic laughter."

Part II of the piece. What's oil cloth?

"Our small group of reporters arrived one midafternoon after a lengthy bone-chilling ride through the winter-silent landscape. It was not yet dark. There were twelve or thirteen boys and girls and a small staff in a grand but bleak house. Its walls were bare, it's floor stripped of rugs; a few rooms had linoleum on the floors. The house's vast windows were white with glare from the snow-covered mountains.

It was impossible to tell the ages of the children, they were so stunted. They were very glad to have visitors, and they clung to us, grasping our hands as they showed us their classroom; a former salon, now filled with narrow, neatly made cots; a library long emptied of books, its shelves containing a few toys and games; and the dining room, where we ate an early supper on a table covered with yellow oil cloth."

"One of the places I visited during the bus trip I took with other journalists was a former vacation estate of a Prussian aristocrat in the Tatra Mountains on the Polish-Czechoslovak border. The Polish government had converted it into a kind of recovery residence for children who had been born in concentration camps or had spent part of their childhood in them. Their parents, without exception, had been murdered by the Nazis."

Christine (Palestinian) & Orna (Israeli)

"Many people would..."

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2024/sep/13/israel-palestine-7-october-gaza-orna-guralnik

"What impact have these conversations had? Christine and Orna sent their reflections, eight months on.

Christine:

I must admit that my political beliefs have not changed since speaking with Orna. But the function of our conversations was not to indoctrinate each other into thinking the same, but to open ourselves up to the humanity of the 'other.' It was daunting to confront narratives that justify my own dehumanisation. Orna’s desire for safety juxtaposed against my demands for freedom and return made for a volatile recipe. But when continually engaging with empathy and kindness, something started to shift. My so-called 'enemy' became a person with her own fears, dreams and histories. There is so much to be learned, but how can I know if I don’t ask? I now see Orna as my friend, one that I disagree with but have grown to love. Connection under systems of separation is a form of resistance in and of itself, and I will continue to resist until Palestine is free.

Orna:

In the months since we spoke, I have been deeply troubled by the erosion in people’s capacity to invest in dialogue and repair, and in contrast found my conversations with Christine an ongoing source of hope in humanity. Rather than villainise and reject each other, we have shown up with a steadfast commitment to offer compassion and do our best to imagine the world through each other’s eyes. Christine’s fierce commitment to her people was always matched with a gentle, soulful stance towards me, and by extension 'my people,' even during the most difficult of conversations. Her relentless curiosity made it possible to never feel like we reached a dead end. Our conversations have required me to withstand a great deal of guilt, shame, tension and internal conflict. And to get clearer about my own ideological unconscious. And yet, I would much rather suffer that than lose hope in the human capacity to choose the right and ethical path."

Veterans of the Unwell Patriarchal Society have many different kinds of stories

"Historically, birth outcomes for Black women in Orangeburg County, where Marsh lost her pregnancy, have ranked among the worst in South Carolina. From 2020 through 2022, the average mortality rate for Black infants born in Orangeburg County was more than three times as high as the average rate for white infants statewide.

Today, Marsh is still trying to process all that happened. She moved back in with her parents and is seeing a therapist. She is taking classes at a local community college and hopes to reenroll at South Carolina State University to earn a four-year degree. She still wants to become a doctor. She keeps her daughter’s ashes on a bookshelf in her bedroom.

'Through all of this, I found my strength. I found my voice. I want to help other young women that are in my position now and will be in the future,' she said. 'I always had faith that God was going to be on my side, but I didn’t know how it was going to go with the justice system we have today.'"

Why do you suppose humans feel they must do that sometimes?

I thought some people who were open to being around different kinds of people in the past, when they were younger, would still be that way when they got older, not get more insular.

They're there.

There's all kinds of people having all kinds of experiences on this planet, and it seems some people might know that, and they might know that they really don't have to act so cliquey or entitled to forget or abandon others just because they're different.

Life could be better. More fun. More creative...

What if lots of things can be worked out in this lifetime and what if some do not need to wait for the next lifetime in order to be acknowledged?

Healthcare! How's it going?

You should take care of yourself, but if you want to ditch people in the process of going for a more comfortable or bearable life, you might also be ditching a piece of yourself. So maybe that's not taking the absolute best care of yourself?

This seems true.

Those who are so easily forgotten by some people are not so easily forgotten by everyone on Earth.

It's wonderful to think of people evolving and their sensitivity increasing.

"'As a 52-year-old childless woman, I wanna say to the people who think that a woman's worth is measured in her baby count—I mean, shoutout to all the amazing mothers—but the childless women have been mothering the world and elevating culture as aunties, godmothers, teachers, mentors, sisters, friends, and the list goes on,' she boldly recognized.

Wrapping up, the Girlfriends alum added a note of encouragement, declaring, 'And you do not need to push out a baby to help push humanity forward.'"

"Tracee Ellis Ross Makes Bold Declaration About Childless Women"

https://parade.com/news/tracee-ellis-ross-ignites-big-internet-reaction-bold-declaration-childless-women-video

I remembered this quote again. It was pretty good. I'll probably remember at least part of it for the rest of my life, while others on purpose try to forget it.

You're getting reminded about sexism now.

Yes. Reminded that only talking about certain types of "fortunate" people and certain types of bodies and certain types of experiences is harmful and irresponsible and discriminatory.

So many opportunities exist in this world for humans to learn more about how to be good to themselves.

And to one another...

Various health circumstances necessitate learning more about how to be better to the self and to the planet while living in a human form on this planet...

I appreciate Health. It is a good teacher.

It could happen...

For real...

Maybe they can enjoy learning more about what they feel are "The Good Vibes."

I could see it happening.

 "5.    Toxic Positivity Damages Relationships

In close relationships, all parties do their best to support each other, lend a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear, or validate and be there for one another. Toxic positivity prevents this from happening, and it can alienate those you love and care about. This is because you may do these things:

Display inauthenticity by pretending to be happy when you aren’t and that inauthenticity bleeds into everything you do

Become dismissive of other people’s feelings and invalidate them in the guise of encouraging positivity

Miss out on supportive bonding opportunities with those around you

Begin to force others to behave in a pre-specified, overtly positive way, even when they don’t want to

May feel expected to put on a positive act for those around you, making your relationships less authentic

Bury emotions may manifest in moments where you lash out or behave negatively with others

Block out others and make them uncomfortable sharing things with you while preventing them from being themselves in your presence."

Life is just like art.

Even the sexist people who are still relying so much on old patterns in order to survive, and who are still getting by, just repeating those same old survival patterns temporarily...even some of the ones who still seem to be so tiresome, so oppressive, and so into controlling the narrative...Even they still have potential to do so much more.

At least I've learned how to be more attentive to the human nervous system in this lifetime.

It's great to be on a Healing Journey. Healing is happening. It's happening all the time. There are lots of good healing frequencies happening on the planet.

You really could be better to X types of people than the Unwell Patriarchy wanted you to be.

Maybe not you and you. But definitely you, you, and you, and you, too.

What is so unhealthy about Patriarchal Culture.

Just the idea of having to surround yourself with immature, insecure, sexist people in order to survive in an immature, insecure, sexist industry (Like what apparently still passes as the norm in many places in show business. Like what some people do in order to succeed in Hollywood!)

Opinion: Patriarchal Culture Sucks.

I just don't think the patriarchal values are working out well for everyone.

There have been major health issues and mobility problems. How come you want someone to clean the house, but if the man of the house doesn't want to spend money on that, it doesn't happen, but then money gets spent on other things?

Sneeze!

"How come you can afford to put $ towards this thing but you can't afford this other thing."

Earth life.

When should you have the "I have been informed that Patriarchal forces convinced you to forget about us even though that wasn't the situation you inherited" conversation in regards to life insurance and other things?

It's a one-step-at-a-time kind of life, sometimes.

My body tells me I have to take care of my health today, and that's what I'm going to do. It's not possible to act like someone else when you inherited a different set of circumstances than they inherited. So if you fail to meet their expectations, and it feels bad, and you're sensitive about that kind of thing, and you start getting symptoms, that's a big sign that your first task is going to be attending to your health and getting better. O, life!

A body that that needs care can be a good reminder

People need to get better at taking care of their health and themselves. Everyone is different. I am learning more about how sometimes people need to get better at taking of themselves first. It will help them the most, and then it will become much easier to see how good it will be for them, too, and for society, to make some changes that will be really good for them, and for their health, and for all kinds of important people.

Believe a better future can begin now.

Somewhat, kind of, sorta. Not exactly, but you know, it exists for a reason! Maybe a lot of reasons.

Yes, you feel alone in your unique experiences.

When did you start that compulsive chewing?

Well, actually, I think it got bad after I figured out that so-and-so was going to warp so-and-so's life. Also that lady in airport security and her comments.

"Are you going to share any with the rest of us?" Because she thought I was traveling with a rich guy, based on how the rich guy acted with me.

Y: You're just realizing that you get hangry?

X: I thought I was upset about the injustice in the world, but I also realized I'm less upset about it when my belly is full.

(Not that societal inequity is okay, but at least the painful, unhelpful, compulsive chewing on fingers and clothes was no longer such a battle.)

What if it all starts to look similar to the food growers of the future...

"TAMPA, Fla. - Criss-crossing the back roads of Florida, you'll see just how fruitful the state is. Watermelons, peppers, corn and many more crops fill the landscape. Each one is unique, but the farmers who grow them share one growing problem: labor."

The descendants agree that Hollywood people of that particular era who were great at acting like they didn't care about human rights were simply reflecting the values of the witch burning villagers they needed to entertain.

Which presidential candidate was most likely to mirror their behavior patterns?

"It was the 2020s, so certain communities agreed that voting for the most fascist candidate was bad, but benefiting from other privileges, getting money from discriminatory institutions and having access to Amazon delivery was good."

Hair has changed.

Last 36 hours....

A hit and run fender bender on the way to the airport, airplanes from West to East Coast, meals, a beautiful dip in the Atlantic Ocean, prickly pear spines in hands (picked them without gloves), tending to bodily ailments, intense bout of cleaning after opening a dust bunny laden closet...but then I got at least 6 hours of sleep and now it's different.

The water here is different. It makes my hair really crazy and wavy after I wash salt water out of it.

Soooo...it looked witchy in the mirror.

Why did some "burn the witch" vibes come at you from unexpected directions?

Have you read "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn"? The mother prefers her son to her daughter.

What if some people still act like they'd like you better if you were a born in a different kind of body on account of their survival mechanism programming?

Maybe it's because they need to feel they have more control over their environment.

It's a great time to get better at valuing all kinds of human beings a little bit more, or a lot.

"Michelle Russell, 70, regularly met her closest friends for 'music and margaritas.' It was their tradition: They would order salt-rimmed cocktails, share a meal, and listen to whichever local musician was playing at their favorite restaurant.

But Russell has been receiving fewer and fewer dinner invitations.

'Over this past year, because my money has gotten so tight, those friends don't call me anymore,' she said. 'They know I don't have the money to go out, and it's embarrassing for me when they pay for my bill.'"

Just sharing, again.

I had such a fun food experience this evening. I dipped sourdough bread into olive oil with raw garlic, and later I added herbs de provence. And I had the retsina that I like. I know lots of people think retsina is disgusting. But there is one brand that I like to drink chilled, and it has a pine cone on the bottle. Gaia Wines makes it.

It sat in the fridge all summer and I was never in the mood to drink it, and then tonight it was nearing the bottom of the bottle and I finished it off because this was the night to appreciate it!

When you're in the mood to drink that particular type of wine, it's kind of like there's a pine forest in your cup.

You know what else goes weirdly well with that retsina?

Oily peanut butter!

Yes, it was a very oily night.

I had oily bread with garlic and herbs.

And then I had peanut butter and red currant jelly on sourdough.

And also just plain spoonfuls of the oily peanut butter.

And then I would drink the retsina and it would be like, Oooooh pine forest in a bottle!

These are exciting times to be alive.

Exactly.

Well, it's great to be able to experience all this free love and living...what with all the writing and sharing and eating of sourdough bread and accepting oil as a part of life...it's just what's happening right now, I guess.

It's cool outside. Reading this story of a disappeared mountain ranger.

"The following morning and 6,000 vertical feet later, we topped Sheppard Pass, and were welcomed to the high country with a squall. 'Smell that?' Rick said, inhaling deeply, as we pulled ponchos from our packs. 'Rain on granite, nothing like it.' And he was off, hustling across the exposed plateau. Thunder growled. Lightning flashed. 'We should spread out a couple hundred feet,' he yelled back to me. 'If the lightning gets much closer, get up against a rock and sit on your sleeping pad with your knees pulled up to your chest.' He took a few more steps. 'Hey, not to freak you out,” he continued, 'but if I die up here, I’m good with that.' He inhaled deeply again, and I gave him a thumbs-up."

"Looking around for a place to recline and close my eyes, I smelled a distinctly sweet and delicate scent and found myself in a garden of strikingly blue polemonium, which had been Randy’s favorite Sierra flower. I’d only happened upon the high-altitude gem a handful of times, in little more than withered clumps, because I tended to visit the high country in September and October, past the flower’s prime. I had hoped I might see it on this trip, and recalled the story from Randy’s childhood, when he’d climbed a Yosemite peak with his father, Dana, and first discovered polemonium eximium. Dana told Randy that the common name is sky pilot because it is found only on or near the tops of the highest peaks. 'The name,' said Dana, 'means ‘one who leads others to heaven.’' Randy reached to pluck a tiny bouquet for his mother, but his father had stopped him, explaining how the delicate flowers had fought hard to survive in such a harsh environment. 'Wouldn’t it be nice to leave these alone?' He explained in terms an 8-year-old might grasp: 'If climbers before us had picked these flowers, we wouldn’t now be enjoying their beauty.'”

"I don’t wish man in control of the universe, he’d written in 1971 while atop Mt. Solomons. I wish nature in control, and man playing only just a role as one of its inhabitants. I want every blade of grass standing naturally, as it was when pushed through the soil with spring vigor. I want the stones and gravel left in the autumn as spring meltwater left them. Only these natural places, apart from my tracks, give me joy, exhilaration, understanding. What humanity I have has come from my relations with these mountains."

Our experiences shape our reactions / responses

There's been times when I have felt that even if I don't have the resources because of whatever I am experiencing or learning, I do have an underlying feeling that I want more and more people to get access to whatever they need in order to have a better life.

When the universe has delivered some weird experiences, there's a need to learn how to respond to those experiences. Sometimes there's a learning curve.

What luxury to know and believe!

It's fine to want to be my best self: pet cats and lay in the grass.

Or in a room with a view.

Some types of more confusion are more harmful than others.

"At the top of his golf course Friday morning, in Rancho Palos Verdes, California—with its staggering views of the Pacific Ocean and that mesmerizing coastline—Donald Trump announced that, if reelected, he would kick off his promised mass deportations of illegal immigrants in landlocked, rundown but reviving Springfield, Ohio..."

~ Joan Walsh

https://www.thenation.com/article/politics/trump-vance-haitians-springfield-racism/

"There were problems with Trump’s logic, as always. First, according to local officials, there is zero evidence anyone is eating pets. Second, the Haitians in Springfield are there legally, with work permits, to help shore up the struggling economy. They would be hard to deport, Donald; even Ohio’s GOP Governor Mike DeWine and Republican Springfield Mayor Rob Rue defend them.

Also, Trump claimed he’d be deporting Venezuelans from Springfield, but they aren’t there. There reportedly are some Venezuelans in Aurora, Colorado, and Trump said that would also be an early mass deportation target. I guess he got confused. As always."
