They were trained to dehumanize others, even as they rely so much on what the dehumanized others do in order to have their own lifestyles be as materialistically comfortable as they are.
I'm not saying they're emotionally comfortable lifestyles, but they are materialistically comfortable ones.
They really do feel the need to defend, defend, defend, defend, defend that way of life, to an out of proportion and ridiculous extent that is unwell and also unsustainable.
