Some people are just a very stressful experience when it comes to anything even a little bit social justice oriented.

It's appalling much the self-absorption of some people (who, yes, have definitely experienced their own traumas) manifests in immaturity and a willingness to go along with some other people's random acts of cruelty. This weakness can really warp some people, who used to seem like they knew how to act like they were people with a conscience.
