"We can force our descendants to be less shallow and greedy than us (some of them are still trying to be just as satisfied with being shallow and greedy, but it's not really working!) through our sheer determination to keep on feeding certain people's addictions to inflicting suffering upon themselves and others, and also by appealing to these other addictions: valuing money and property more than respecting the basic human rights of others, again. So repetitive. I guess this is how racism gets born?"
