Then I'd rather be a low-income "loser" who doesn't own property and an emotional basketcase who can't fit in with the greedy patriarchal people.

I would rather be like that than act like those guys, or do anything to prop up their unwellness. 

But the good thing is, I'm not always an emotional basketcase, so maybe I'm not a loser.

I, for one, think they're losing out on quite a lot, like for instance, being able to have an experience as a person which includes empathy and compassion for others, and just some of the basic tenants which can make life good for people.
