In my experience, over-reliance on old patriarchal models is not really healing...

Over-reliance on those models will make some people quite willing to look elsewhere.

"How Thai 'feminist' law students are challenging the patriarchy and cultural norms"

When people get very tribalistic, at times they often seem more biased and/or less honest about their own biases, both in their writings and in their real life, and also in their VIBES, I would say. Their patriarchal leanings.  At least, sometimes it is like that. At any rate, I noticed feeling that way about an "ALL OF YOU" statement recently.

"We see all of you upholding a culture of self-congratulatory whiteness. Other white people might celebrate you, but BIPOC know better. Behind the scenes, you abuse, bully, racelight [2], marginalize, invalidate, police, exclude, and maintain hostile work and educational environments for BIPOC who navigate these spaces with you."

It was written in 2021. Quite recently. To "all of you." But when they say "We see all of you upholding a culture of self-congratulatory whiteness," in their link, they're referencing this 2008 anti-Hillary piece.

Since I clicked on it, now I just get the image of them sitting there, back in 2008, and stewing, and bringing that to 2021.

Speaking of going back to the past...

"Former student files civil suit against Mt. SAC alleging campus failed to punish her alleged rapist"

https://www.sgvtribune.com/2015/06/04/former-student-files-civil-suit-against-mt-sac-alleging-campus-failed-to-punish-her-alleged-rapist/

And further back (but in 2012, not 2008) hey, I had forgotten about this, but thanks for reminding me.

"Members Of Mt. SAC's Women's Track Team Allege Sexual Harassment By Former Assistant Coach"

And so it continues to seem like the lack of attention to how the patriarchy has harmfully worked on all of us just continues to act as a barrier to progress.

On the other hand, I feel encouraged that I have noticed more of this happening lately...
