It can be very sad and lonely when you're made to feel like you are just way more sensitive to human suffering than the average person is. The average person apparently has a huge ability to block out what's happening. And it's not like I'm never happy because I have moments of happiness. But I also have a lot of knowledge about the suffering that's happening in the world, and when a lot of people most of the time seem to feel like they don't need to know about that stuff, I feel out of place with the people who are like that, and Patriarchy seems to want most people to be like that.
