Not so much "Let's do this annoying thing to see if the feminist girl will yell at us about it," like back in high school. I don't understand how midlife can still seem so adolescent, but I think it has something to do with the wounded patriarchy not healing so quickly, because we also have the least qualified people running this country right now, and they are oppressing the rights of the not too wealthy children and women the most.
