It's good to remember to still read the analog things.

I found out that Quincy Jones really liked "You Don't Own Me." And that song was a collaboration between a teenage girl (young woman? They used to say that a lot more. And I do believe it was meant as a term of respect, usually) and two men in the music industry who were tired of all the songs on the radio being about girls wishing for a guy to validate them by paying attention to them.

Actually it's kind of weird though, because when you go on the internet, there seem to be slightly differing versions about how and why that song came about.
