What if an unwell, confused patriarchy wanted you to be like an insecure, ignorant belle just so they could control you, but what you actually deserve to be is more educated and curious. Being smart doesn't mean you have to know everything or control everything, but means you're willing to learn more and think about how you feel about things and why.
