I wonder if I ever will read that play again.

The phrase "By George, fancy that" came to me when I was thinking about people who seem insensitive. It's because I read "Hedda Gabler." When I was very young, I was basically forced to write a paper about that play at a time of life when I really didn't want to write about it. It was really hard, and I just made myself to get through it. Then I got an A and lots of compliments. And part of it got read out loud to the class because I did a good job. I don't even think I saved that paper, but I always remembered that was sort of a shocking experience. Anyways, maybe other people have never been forced to write about tough things at a particularly low point in life and then gotten an A and accolades for it? Can't really say that's how I want to live my whole life either. It's just an experience I had. And now it's just an old thing and it's passing away. Good.

Looks like I slightly misremembered it!
