Too much reliance on "X had to dehumanize people like you so that X could be favored by the patriarchal culture at the expense of a lot of other kinds of human beings that our patriarchal deems as 'lesser' in order to feel accomplished" as coping strategies or survival mechanisms is not very imaginative.
