Well it was 2021 and I guessed that phone call from the friend who is dealing with an insecure and narcissistic ex who wants to take custody of their son so he can make (compel him to be more into?) activities that would make him seem mas masculine (for example, sports which the kid already participates in but does not have a great passion for, as opposed to things like 🎶 music which apparently makes it seem like the mom might be making his kid too "gay" for el padre's liking) could be interpreted as the universe's way of saying "yours ain't the only kind of problems in this world, missy."
