That's what happened in the early 1980s. Our teacher had us work on enormous pages, which she then bound into an enormous book, and we were going to read it together. It was the most exciting thing, and the biggest book ever seen in Kindergarten. Waited and waited. Day after day. But everyone forgot!
The Big Book just sat there.
