Moms or Dads who think they need to magically unsee actual real stuff that's going on around them in exchange for money or support from others who have those habits, too, are not doing it for their kids, or even for themselves. And they most certainly are not doing it for the other moms or dads or their kids. Not even the ones they hang out with. They're just doing that because going along with what The Patriarchally Trained told them to do is a habit they developed in order to get ahead and survive.
