In a place

I have paid money to healers and actually cried like a child for a mother and asked the universe to please heal my grief. Sexism that was perhaps unintentional but is still infecting work and school environments is not only infuriating, it is actually heartbreaking. Was it just bad communication? Didn't that woman know better? Why didn't that man know better? Were they raised to be so blind?

You're not made of stone. This type of subtle yet devastating discrimination hurts beyond words. If the hurt hasn't gone away, you have to acknowledge how it felt and feels, to honor the wounds and the disappointment of betrayal. You have to forgive yourself for allowing your heart to get broken. You will get your faith back in people and remind yourself of the ones you met who gave you hope.
